The course will cover basic and advanced topics in fluorometry, including time- and frequency-domain measurements, Foerster resonance energy transfer and probe chemistry. Advanced topics include Radiative Decay Engineering, Surface Plasmon Coupled Emission, fiber optics, infrared fluorometry, instrumentation, confocal and multi-photon microscopy, protein fluorescence, DNA technology, high throughput screening, correlation spectroscopy, lanthanides and immunoassays. Textbook, course materials, lunches, and refreshments will be provided.
